5.4 A deposit is required when booking all services. This deposit will be taken off of your final bill. Should you cancel your appointment, the deposit is non-refundable.
6.1 Some services may involve the use of chemicals, heated tools, or other processes that carry potential risks.
6.2 You agree to disclose any allergies, scalp sensitivities, or medical conditions before receiving treatment.
6.3 Jan’s Hair Affair will not be held responsible for reactions or health issues arising from treatments unless caused by our negligence.
6.4 Services requiring products such as colouring treatments or permings require a skin test 48 hours prior to service. Failure to do so is at the client's own risk.
7.1 Notice Period
Clients must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled appointment time to cancel or reschedule.
7.2 Method of Notice
Notice must be provided by phone, text message, email, or through the online booking system. The time at which notice is received will determine compliance with the required notice period.
7.3 Deposits
A booking deposit is required to confirm all appointments.
(a) If cancellation occurs with fewer than 48 hours’ notice, the deposit will be retained.
(b) If the client fails to attend without notice, the deposit will be retained.
(c) Where 48 hours’ notice is provided, the deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date or refunded upon request.
7.4 Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Repeated reschedules may result in an administration fee, which will be communicated in advance.
7.5 Late Bookings
Appointments made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of Jan’s Hair Affair. If such appointments are cancelled or rescheduled with fewer than 48 hours’ notice, the deposit will be retained.
7.6 Time Calculation
All time calculations are based on the local time zone of Jan’s Hair Affair at the address where the service is provided.
7.7 Exceptional Circumstances
Jan’s Hair Affair reserves the right to waive or modify this policy in genuine emergencies or where required by applicable consumer law, at its sole discretion.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jan’s Hair Affair shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of this website or participation in our services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
